Day 1:
Arrive at the Kilimanajaro Intl. Airport to be met by our Safari driver guide who will be with you throughout the safari giving insightful tips for the safari. After airport formalities, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation area with a brief stopover at Olduvai Gorge and museum to see the site and remains of pre-historic man.
The Ngorongoro crater was formed millions of years ago by the collapse of an extinct volcano which resulted in this 100 sq miles depression surrounded by a 2000ft volcanic rim which now contains forage and water supporting wildlife and birdlife. The area is also used by the local Maasai people in grazing their cattle herds. Check into the Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge for meals and overnight rest.
Day 2:
The whole day is spent exploring the crater for its flora and fauna where you are likely to see Elephants, Lions, Zebras, Buffalos, Waterbucks and many other species and birds.The is also the option of visiting a Maasai Village for a cultural experience before returning in the late afternoon to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
After breakfast, head to the seemingly endless plains of the Serengeti – a savannah grassland home the grazing herds of Africa with Zebras, Wildebeests, Giraffes and various types of Antelopes which in turn attract predators and scavengers alike. Arrive at Serengeti Sopa Lodge for lunch, a brief siesta and embarking on an afternoon game drive in search of the big five. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Spend the whole day making game drives and enjoying the scenery of the African Savannah with a picnic lunch in the park. This park has the one of the highest concentrations of plains game in the world with big herds of Elephants, Buffalos, Zebras, Impalas, Gazelles, Wildebeests, Elands, Waterbucks, Lions, Cheetahs, and Hyenas etc. Crocodiles and Hippos will be found near water bodies as well a s a host of bird species.
Return to the lodge after the long day for dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Make the early morning game drive returning for breakfast and going back out for another game drive until noon returning for lunch and check out and the drive to L.Manyara. Arrive at L.Manyara Serena Lodge in time for the afternoon game drive searching for the famous tree climbing lions and savouring the spectacular view of the lake formed on a depressed valley of the red and brown cliffs of the western wall of the Great Rift Valley which seem to rise up from the lake itself. Return to the lodge as the sun goes down for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
Early morning game drive as nature stirs catching the birds in this ornithological park before returning for breakfast and checking out to drive to Arusha with a game view on exit. Enjoy the Agricultural Scenery after leaving the park, passing Mto wa Umbu heading to Arusha stopping for lunch and then the final leg of the safari which is a transfer to the airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
