Day 1:
Upon arrival at the Kilimajaro airport, you are met and transferred to Arusha for lunch and thereafter continue with the journey to Tarangire National Park arriving at Tarangire Sopa Lodge in time for the afternoon game viewing drive, This is a dry season refuge park that is fed by a river thus attracting migratory animals such as Elephants, Wildebeests, Zebras, Gazelles, Buffalos and which in turn attract predators and scavengers. This is also a bird watchers paradise with a variety of species.
Day 2:
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro conservation area arriving in time for lunch having made a brief detour of Olduvai Gorge and Museum, the site of the remains of the prehistoric man. Make an afternoon game drive in this crater park formed millions of years ago by the collapse of a long extinct which is now home to African wildlife because of it plenty forage and water at the crater lake. The Maasai herdsmen also use the area to graze their livestock. Dinner and overnight is at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.
Day 3:
Descend the Crater after breakfast and spend the day making game viewing drives, watching the birds and enjoying the scenery with a picnic lunch at Ngoitoktok campsite. The floor of the crater supports over 30000 animals such as Lions, Cheetahs, Jackals and herds of Zebras, Wildebeests and Antelopes. The lake has Hippos and crocodiles and a myriad of bird life. Ascend back to Ngorongoro Serena for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Depart for Serengeti after breakfast to experience the magic of the African savannah grasslands that support large herds of wild grazers and browsers throughout the year. Arrive at the Serengeti in time for lunch and in the afternoon embark on a game viewing drive with a target of spotting the big 5. Return to the base camp in the evening in time for dinner and overnight in the Serena lodge.
Day 5:
Set out for a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti park with a packed lunch to be consumed whilst on the drive. The Serengeti offers lots of game and predators. The area also has varied vegetation with the area around Gurumeti being densely forested whilst the western side is pure grassland with sparse trees. After a long exploratory day return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
After breakfast, drive to L. Manyara arriving in time for lunch at the L. Manyara Serena lodge. After lunch, you explore this amazing wildlife sanctuary famous for its tree climbing Lions and panoramic view of the lake. The lake is also an ornithological paradise with numerous bird species.
Day 7:
Make the early morning game drive and return for breakfast before leaving L. Manyara for Arusha. Have lunch at Arusha and transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport to catch your flight back home.
